POWDER BROWS

Powder Brows Micropigmentation, created by expert Georgina Korzeniak, is a semi-permanent makeup technique that gives the brows a soft, natural, and filled-in look. Using a fine tattooing technique, it creates the appearance of fuller, well-defined brows with a powdery finish, offering a long-lasting solution for those with sparse or uneven brows. This technique enhances the brow shape and color while maintaining a soft, subtle effect, making it ideal for those looking for a natural yet polished look.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR THE PROCEDURE

  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: The procedure is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to hormonal fluctuations that may affect the results and healing process.
  • Active Skin Infections or Cold Sores: If you have an active infection, cold sores, or any other skin conditions on your lips, it is best to wait until the condition is fully healed before undergoing the procedure.
  • Blood Clotting Disorders: Individuals with blood clotting disorders or those on blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, warfarin) should avoid the procedure due to the risk of excessive bleeding and bruising.
  • Diabetes: People with uncontrolled diabetes may not be suitable candidates for lip blush tattooing due to potential complications with healing and infection.
  • Autoimmune Diseases: Those with autoimmune conditions such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis should avoid lip blush permanent makeup, as these conditions can interfere with the healing process.
  • Allergies to Pigments or Anesthetics: If you are allergic to any of the pigments used in the procedure or to topical anesthetics, lip blush permanent makeup should not be performed.
  • Recent Lip Fillers or Cosmetic Procedures: If you have recently had lip fillers or other cosmetic treatments in the lip area, it may be necessary to wait a certain period before undergoing permanent makeup.
  • Keloid Scarring: People who are prone to keloid scarring or have a history of excessive scarring should avoid this procedure, as it may result in abnormal healing.
  • Poor Skin Health: If your lips are dry, cracked, or have any other severe skin conditions, it is essential to address these issues before undergoing the procedure.

POST-TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Avoid Touching or Scratching: Refrain from touching, rubbing, or scratching the treated area for at least 7-10 days to prevent infection and ensure proper healing.
  • Keep Lips Moisturized: Apply the healing balm or ointment recommended by your practitioner to keep your lips moisturized and promote faster healing. Do this regularly as instructed, especially during the first few days.
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds for at least 2 weeks after the procedure. Use SPF on your lips after the healing process to protect the pigment from fading.
  • Do Not Pick or Peel: As your lips heal, you may experience flaking or scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs or peeling skin, as this can cause scarring and affect the final result.
  • Avoid Lip Makeup: Do not apply lipstick, gloss, or other makeup to the lips for the first 7-10 days. This helps prevent irritation or infection.
  • Limit Exposure to Water: Avoid swimming, hot tubs, or excessive sweating (e.g., intense exercise) for the first week after the procedure to reduce the risk of infection and promote proper healing.
  • No Smoking: Smoking can hinder the healing process and increase the risk of complications, so it’s advised to refrain from smoking for at least 7-10 days post-treatment.
  • Avoid Exfoliating or Scrubbing: Do not use any exfoliating products or scrubs on your lips during the healing period. This can irritate the skin and affect the pigment retention.
  • Follow-Up Appointment: Schedule a touch-up appointment with your practitioner, typically 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure, to perfect the results and ensure the color is even.
